We have a well defined process of design evaluation for new product introductions, from concept through production, with milestones, design and manufacturing readiness reviews occurring with customers. This also includes rapid prototype design and fabrication as well as crimping and strength testing.
The AmFor Electronics production technology includes CAD drawings of cable assembly. This allows us to work with customers at many different levels, from design advice, to drawing reviews and even production of the entire assembly drawing with a bill of materials.
The AmFor Electronics manufacturing processes utilizes flexible work stations and work cells. Before production starts, we produce a detailed wire list that fully describes each wire and how it is crimped and connected. Customer orders are checked with current bills of material, approved vendor lists, drawings and manufacturing instructions. Assembly fixtures are checked or constructed
Since we use a shop flow pull system, all orders are produced and delivered when they are needed. All equipment is capable of producing product to the technology required by each of our customers and is best in class. And our manufacturing procedure establishes a mistake proofing (poka-yoke) operation that is specific to each customer's product design, with product inspections and testing as appropriate.
Critical process monitoring is utilized to determine needed adjustments. Preventive maintenance is in place and documented as well. And, ECO processes exist for all manufacturing areas with records available.
Work In Process utilizes customer order tracking to aide in reduction of overall manufacturing cycle time, immediate defect prevention and on-time customer deliveries. Materials management procedures have full inventory controls, including kitting.
Each lean outsourcing customer of AmFor Electronics is assigned a dedicated account manager who has the tools and authority to make things happen inside AmFor Electronics.
