AMFOR Electronics is a lean manufacturer in the forefront of lean outsourcing.

AMFOR ELECTRONICS is equipped to produce a full range of complex DC cable and harness assemblies, as well as complete product assemblies and box builds. Using a continuous flow process, Amfor Electronics can completely change a work cell in a matter of minutes. This is at the heart of our approach to lean manufacturing.

We are able to respond rapidly to our customers pull system with a "build to order" process that's not limited by quantity. So our customers have a just-in-time resource that's in their backyard. And it avoids the forecasting and costs issues of a long-distance pipeline with large volumes that sit on the water and in a rail yard for four or five weeks.

Amfor Electronics is on the forefront of being a lean-outsourcing resource. We meet customer requirements such as prototyping, high volumes, and low volumes - even high-mix with small volumes.

Our cable and wire harness assemblies are produced to IPC-A620-A standards. Typically, AmFor Electronics produces assemblies that become a part of our customers' finished goods products. In that case, we produce to our customer's guidelines that meet the standards or certifications (such as UL, CE, CSA) for their complete product.

We use product document controls that are formalized and note any non-conformances. In general, we use our client's own forms to conform to their processes established in ISO or other procedures. Our quality system records defect traceability and trends in use for all areas, with data available for review within 24-hours.

Quality management holds regular reviews of quality metrics, including any field returns. The account manager regularly meets with clients to cover metrics, with action plans for improvement of cycle time, on-time delivery and other internal assessments.

To help our customers, we assign a dedicated account manager who has the tools and authority to make things happen inside AmFor Electronics. This account manager is responsible for all on-going activities, as well as the after sales support, including rapid response to any RMAs.
